Between Vesey and Liberty Streets

The 110-story, 1,350-foot "Twin Towers,"
completed in 1976, enclose more than ten
million square feet of office space, forming
a city within the city. In designing them,
architect Minoru Yamasaki made use of in-
novative steel load-bearing walls instead of
traditional stee-frame construction techniques.
