Atlas at Rockefeller Center

Fifth to Sixth Avenues, West 48th to 51st Streets
The world's largest privately owned business complex—19 buildings on
22 acres—was built in the Art Deco style (1932–40), personified by
the famous sculpture of Atlas upholding the world that marks the
soaring GE Building (originally the RCA Building). A consortium of
architects worked on the complex with developer John D. Rockefeller.
